Todd has been the pastor at New Bethesda since October, 2002. Prior
to that, he served as the Associate Pastor of Sandston Baptist for
six years. He and his wife Susan, and their two sons, Matthew and
Jacob, have enjoyed living in Mechanicsville since 1997. Mechanicsville
has been a great place to raise a family and New Bethesda has been
a wonderful church to be a part of. It has been a good match between
a mission-minded pastor and a mission-minded church.
In addition to pastoring the
church, Todd serves as a Chaplain in the Army Reserves. He is currently
with the 80th Division based in Richmond. He also serves as a member
of the Virginia Baptist Mission Board and is active in the ministries
of the Dover Baptist Association.
Todd enjoys sports, kayaking,
and just about anything outdoors.
Tiffany Talley Music Director
Tiffany is New Bethesda’s most recent addition to its staff. She is a Hanover County Public School Elementary Music teacher and has served as Interim Music Director for two local churches. Tiffany received her B.A. in Music from V.C.U. in 1992 and married her husband, Mike the same year. They reside in Hanover County with their two sons, Anthony and Chase. Tiffany spends much of her time cheering on her sons at sporting and musical events and enjoys reading, working in the yard, and singing.

Sylvia grew up in western Pennsylvania. She put herself through
Bible College in New Jersey by teaching piano lessons to over 30
students. In 1963 she married Herman and after moving back and forth,
they settled in the Richmond area in 1982. They have one daughter
Melody, who lives in New Jersey and has a little girl
named Symphony Grace. Their son Cliff and his wife (also Melody!)
live in Powhatan.
In past years, she and Herman
have served as house parents at the Richmond Home for Boys, Directors
for Child Evangelism Fellowship, and workers with the mentally challenged
in conjunction with Va. Baptist Children’s Home and Family
Services.
Sylvia has been the organist
at New Bethesda since May 1, 2005. In her “spare” time, she teaches
approximately 12 piano students. Her hobbies include scrap booking
and the old-fashioned, almost-lost art of letter writing.
